![]() ![]() I updated the ebuild w/ a couple of minor changes. Of course, I'm also running gtk+-2.8.13 on xorg-x11-7.0 (and Gnome 2.14RC1, but I don't think avast uses Gnome libraries), so perhaps there's something there that throws it off. I can puzzle most things out, but, for instance, I can't make out the date of the virus database. The letters are also compressed together, which is part of what makes it almost impossible to read. I was able to download a virus database update, select specific files to scan, run the scan, etc.įor some reason the fonts in the GUI interface are small to the point of being almost unreadable. I did a scan of some files and it seems to work okay. I just installed this on my ~amd64 system. I've included a gtk use flag that can be disabled if you are installing on an X-less machine, and a script to install the reg key if you dont have the gui frontend. Registration is required (to get a key) but it is 100% free for home/non-commercial use. ![]() I'm still trying to figure out what license it is released under, but it IS binary only. I've made an ebuild for the free avast virus scanner, product info here: Posted: Wed 11:19 pm Post subject: ebuild: avast antivirus free home edition Gentoo Forums Forum Index Unsupported Software Moderators: ondrejz, sandervh, Ruslan S., ondrej.malacka+forum, Sandu-RMĬhild Boards: Beta Channel, Avast Secure Browser for Android, Avast Secure Browser for iOS, Avast Secure Browser for Windows, Avast Secure Browser for Mac, Avast Secure Browser Ideas BoardĪvast Online Security (browser extension)ĭiscussion about browser extension Avast Online Security.Įverything related to our my. portal.Gentoo Forums :: View topic - ebuild: avast antivirus free home editionĮbuild: avast antivirus free home edition Also includes topics about predecessor SafeZone browser How to speed up your computer: Ask about the new avast!
